My friends Mike and Christina asked me to take some shots of their daughter Annaleigh. As I mentioned before, I love taking pictures of kids. Annaleigh was no exception. She was all smiles and loved the camera.

When people ask me if I would take pictures of them and their kids, I know right away it’s gonna be a successful shoot. I love taking pictures of children. They are the most photogenic type of people. Karen’s kids were no exception and I had a good time shooting them.
I’ve had this theme idea for a little while now. Chalena did a fantastic job and I’m really happy with the results. The biggest challenge was to get the lighting just right to not over power the ambient light too much. These were taken just before dusk and it was still pretty bright, but I wanted it to look darker. So by over powering the ambient light with my flash, I was able to darken the background.
